Today ACJC's squash team faced off with RIJC at Kallang Squash centre.. The match was intense and lengthy, lasting nearly a full 5 hours. Cheers reverberated within the squash court and our voices practically drown RIJC. Very unfortunately, our number one player was injured early in the game and we lost our deciding match. The ACJC team fought on to the very end despite losing to RIJC 4-1. Let us still celebrate our attainment of 2nd position in the A division boys squash while sharing the sadness of not clinching the championship.
Freddie played against RIJC's team captain, and also their number one player. Even though his opponent was said to be a giant in the squash world, he put on his game face and charged into the match. Freddie put up a vicioius fight, never once thinking of backing down. However, the outcome of the game was to his disadvantage . Apparently lady luck was on the side of the opposing team that afternoon.
However, let us congratulate and continue to provide support for our squash team and Freddie as they train for next year's A division squash championships for "The Best Is Yet To Be". May we be avenged next year and may freddie be the one to lead the charge!!! Go SC3!!!
